**NEWS UPDATE BELOW**

Please make sure you're familiar with our FAQ when it comes to submitting artwork to the group!  This is what keeps our group organized and friendly for ALL USERS, so please be considerate and READ:

FAQ1) Who can submit and where? (Added 5/13/14)
Admins, members, and non-members can submit artwork here!
The most important rule here is to submit the work into the CORRECTLY LABELED folder! We currently have over 3,400 pieces in our gallery and that number grows by the day so we must stay extremely organized! You can save us a huge amount of time by submitting pieces into the correct folder! Now that we have given users the ability to submit into specific folders, there is NO EXCUSE. Any submissions submitted in the incorrect category will automatically be declined.
:damphyr: LIST OF GALLERY FOLDERS!
2) What kind of art can I submit?
You can submit Final Fantasy artwork only. We will not accept pieces that contain characters outside of the Final Fantasy series. We do NOT accept Kingdom Hearts artwork; that is completely independe

Important Notice regarding PHOTO MANIPULATIONS:
Out of all of the photo manipulations we receive in our submissions inbox, on average only about 1 out of 10 (if any) are actually accepted into the group's gallery. This is a radically lower acceptance rate than any other category out there because it can be very fickle. And as responsible group leaders, we must be extremely selective and take care in what we accept because we are dealing with copyrighted material. Simply put, if it looks like you've slapped an image onto a random abstract background and do little or nothing else to it, it will not be accepted. Another condition we will be implementing very soon is whether or not you have properly CREDITED the material you have used. An updated FAQ will be coming soon to provide more coverage regarding photo manipulations that use copyrighted images.

Here's how each monthly feature will go: I'll have the title of the song, along with the song itself for you to enjoy. Underneath, I will describe what this song means to me and how it affects me, plus I'll add in any fun facts about the piece.

For the month of May, we are going WAY back! Prepare to journey all the way back to the original Final Fantasy soundtrack because we are featuring Matoya's Cave!

(¯`·-..· Matoya's Cave ·..-·´¯)

The first track we have here is the PlayStation remake's version. As a cheerful song, it is fast paced. This version brings a smile to my face because it reminds me of my experience playing the original Final Fantasy for the first time. For such a simple game, it leaves a strong impression. I consider this composition to be one of Nobuo Uematsu's best, and just like the Prelude, when you hear it you know exactly what it is and where it came from.

For the second track, we are also giving you the opporunity to hear this song as performed by The Black Mages -- Nobuo Uematsu's band. They create a very interesting and fun take on the song. It begins slower than the original with simple acoustics before diving into more rock/metal riffs. Then The Black Mages take it down an entirely new blues-like path before reverting back to rock.

How do you feel about this song? Do you like it? Did it have an effect on you? Leave a comment with your opinion on the song!

--RECENT NEWS IN FINAL FANTASY--

:bulletpink: According to some leaked news from Germany's USK board, Final Fantasy III is apparently coming to PC. For the longest time, Final Fantasy III was the most unaccessible games in the Final Fantasy franchise because of its exclusivity to Fanicom in Japan. Now it is widely available on DS, iOS, Android, PSP, and Ouya; so it's arrival to PC will give it even greater availability.

:bulletpink: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (sequel to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy) will be released in North America and Europe some time this year. It will retail at $40 / £24. Check out the trailer to get a sneak peek of what's to come!

:bulletpink: Interestingly, Akihiko Matsui announced May 1st that Final Fantasy XI is dropping French and German in-game text support, and that those language options will be removed after the game's July 2014 update. This follows the recent release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4 (and its growing popularity.) Fortunately, French and German players will not be losing their characters, settings, or game data, but there will still remain a language barrier. Oddly enough, SquareEnix will not be dropping French or German customer support.

:bulletpink: Thinking of where to go for Summer Vacation? Perhaps you'd like to drop into Japan on June 21st to witness the very first Final Fantasy VII symphony concert, performed by Game Symphony Japan. The Symphony does plan on touring, but further details have not been released. As for the concert on June 21st, it will take place at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo's Akasaka neighborhood. Tickets range between 6,500¥ and 10,000¥ ($64-$98), and doors open at 1pm. The two-and-a-half hour long concert will "recreate the Final Fantasy VII narrative through the musical selection, going through the beginning, middle, and end of the game’s story in an attempt to recreate the sensation of playing through the game in its entirety. So while you’ll hear stand-outs such as the Final Fantasy VII main theme and arch-villain Sephiroth’s leitmotif “One-Winged Angel,” the orchestra will also play music used for the game’s overworld, fight scenes, and ending credits, as well".

:bulletpink:5/7/14 - Final Fantasy VII Advent Children (complete) is now streamable on Netflix! It is Japanese audio with English subtitles, and the complete version includes 30+ minutes of new scenes that were only included in the BluRay release.
